Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim.

Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barkatuhu.

Dear friends,

I hope you are all well with the infinite mercy of Allah Almighty. I am also well and healthy to accept your prayers and the infinite blessings of Allah Almighty.

Those who have fallen into the illusion of the world are destroyed - a profound discussion

The world is a test in human life. Allah Almighty has not sent people to the world to immerse themselves in the pleasures and luxuries of this world, but rather for the success of the hereafter along this path. But history testifies - those who have fallen into the illusion of the world's pomp, power, wealth, desires and pleasures, they are ultimately destroyed. Because excessive attraction to the world makes people forget their main goal, destroys morality, faith, humanity and ethics.

The World—A Play of Illusion

In the Quran, Allah says—

“The life of this world is but a play and a piece of deception.”

(Surah Al-An’am: 32)

This verse clearly states that the world is worthless. It is a temporary entertainment, a fleeting enjoyment. Whoever thinks of this fleeting world as permanent is the one who is deceived.

The glitter of the world creates various temptations among people—greed for wealth, competition for status, addiction to pleasures, illicit earnings, and the use of unjust power—all of which gradually lead people to the path of destruction.

When the Hereafter is forgotten, the world becomes the cause of destruction

When a person falls into the illusion of the world and thinks—“this world is all,” he forgets that there is a long, eternal life after death. When the Hereafter is forgotten, a person becomes ready to do anything for the pleasures of the world. That greed destroys him.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said—

“Love of this world is the root of all sins.”

(Bayhaqi)

This excessive love of this world makes people selfish, turns them into slaves of Satan, and gradually kills their conscience.

Four major losses to humans due to the illusion of this world

1. Moral decline

When a person considers the world as the criterion for success, morality becomes secondary to him. Then he thinks—at any cost, I have to achieve money, power, and status. As a result—

Bribery

Interest

Theft

Fraud

Illegal business

Violating the rights of others

These become insignificant to him. The illusion of this world blinds him.

2. The remembrance of Allah gradually fades

Allah says—

“Whoever turns away from My remembrance, for him is a narrow life, and on the Day of Resurrection I will raise him blind.”

(Surah Taha: 124)

The world keeps people so busy that worship, recitation of the Quran, charity, justice—these things lose their importance to them.

3. Losing the ability to distinguish between haram and halal

Excessive attraction to the world hardens a person's heart. Then he does not understand what is haram and what is halal; rather, when he sees profit, he starts considering haram as halal. This is the biggest destruction of human life.

4. Restlessness, anxiety and mental suffering

When a person falls into the illusion of the world, he is never satisfied. No matter how much he achieves, his eyes look towards something bigger. As a result, in the heart—

Restlessness

Greed

Envy

Fear

Anxiety

The mind is always bad, because it is running to achieve something that is always incomplete.

The consequences of the illusion of the world in the light of the Quran and Hadith

1. The destruction of Qarun

Qarun was very rich. It took many people to carry the keys to his wealth. But he became foolish in his pride of wealth. Allah destroyed him along with the land. Because—

Qarun was so immersed in the illusion of the world that he forgot Allah.

2. The fall of Pharaoh

The greed for power consumed him so much that he claimed to be ‘I am your supreme Lord’. The result—he drowned and died in extreme humiliation.

3. The destruction of Nimrod

The arrogance of the world blinded him. Allah destroyed him with a small fly.

These examples show—even if the world makes people stand tall for a while, their downfall is certain in the end.

How the illusion of the world is destroying people in today's society

Today, the attraction of the world in the world is greater than ever before. A little success, money, gold, luxurious life—for all these, people today—

are destroying relationships

lying

stealing, robbing, raping

committing corruption

fraudulent business

drowning in interest

as a result, society is becoming sick, families are coming into disarray, and children are losing their values.

Ways to escape from the illusion of the world

1. Strong recognition of Tawhid

If Allah is the goal, the attraction of the world decreases. People understand—I am a guest, this world is not my permanent abode.

2. Remembering the Hereafter more

If you think about death more, the love of the world weakens. Hadith:

“Remember death more; it destroys the joy of the world.”

3. Leading a life centered on halal livelihood

Halal earnings calm people’s hearts. Haram earnings cannot bring happiness.

4. Purifying the heart through prayer, Quran and supplication

5. Simple life and moderate behavior

Those who live a simple life have less attachment to the world.

Why do people get destroyed when they fall into the illusion of the world?

In short, the reasons are:

The attraction of the world leads people to the wrong path

Destroys conscience and humanity

Pushes them to the path of sin

Makes them forget the pleasure of Allah

Destroys success in the Hereafter

Increases anxiety instead of happiness

Excessive love for the world blinds the heart. People cannot then distinguish between good and evil.

“Those who fall into the illusion of the world are destroyed”—this is an eternal truth. The Quran, Hadith, history, society—all testify to this. The world

It is beautiful, but it is temporary. If people fall in love with it, they lose faith, morality, conscience and the hereafter. And those who use this world to build the hereafter are the successful ones.

Let us love the world—but not forgetting Allah, the Lord of the world.

Let us use the world—but not by becoming slaves of the world.

Then success will come in both worlds.
