The tenth of the forbidden animals is the animal that will be killed at a specific place for sacrifice to a deity. Whose purpose and goal will be to worship any power, person or deity other than Allah. Many such ‘places’ were built around the Kaaba in the Age of Ignorance. And the people of that time used to sacrifice animals in those places for the purpose of worshiping their gods and gaining nearness to them.
In a word, it is also a sacrifice for the sake of non-God. In both cases, the ultimate goal is to show devotion to the non-God power and to magnify it. The only difference is that the word "animal sacrificed in the name of non-God" can be used for an animal which does not have an 'idol' in front of it when it is slaughtered. Rather, it is only if it is sacrificed in the name of an idol.
But even if the animal sacrificed in the place is not sacrificed in the name of anyone other than Allah, it will be haraam. In other words, the 'place' is not fixed in the first place. And in the second case, the place is fixed.
The ‘places’ that were built around the Kaaba, people thought that if animals were sacrificed in these places, it would show respect to the house of God. The Qur'an dispels this misconception and explicitly forbids this practice. Otherwise, the animal sacrificed for the non-God also includes the animal sacrificed in the 'place'.
