When I wrote the story of this trip, it seemed as if thousands of extraordinary stories had reappeared before and seemed to tell stories back across time. This is Skagway, a small town in Alaska and also called a seasonal city. It means seasonal because the city is more crowded and alive during the summer. When winter arrived, most of the population fled from the cold to other warmer cities. When I visited Skagway in 2017, the population of this city was still below 1,000 people but during the summer the population could be many times over due to having to deal with visitors who almost touched one million visitors @gibran

If you ever read Guardian novels from Joe Haideman or the book The Call of the Wild from Jack London, this city is the setting of the narrative. Skagway is famous for its famous and legendary gold mines around the world and is one of the centers of gold taken along the Klondike River near Dawson City, Yukon Territory. This gold mine along the Klondike River enters the Yukon Territory in the Canada region. In its time it was known as the Klondike Gold Rush or the Klondike Gold Fever or Yukon Gold Fever. The center of the Klondike Gold Fever is on a small river called Bonanza near the City of Dawson. In Dawson City there is a museum known as the Klondike National Historic Site. Skagway City is special because it is one of the pathways to the Yukon Territory @gibran

I can imagine when the Klondike Gold Fever, hundreds of thousands of people flocked to the Yukon Territory from Skagway City. They had to pass through mountains covered in thick snow and no wonder many lost their lives at that time. Thus how important Skagway is because it is the link between the outside world and the Yukon territory because if they pass through Canada, the path to the Yukon Territory becomes more difficult @gibran

On Skagway there is a historic railway to the Yukon Territory that is around 100 years old. I took a tour on Skagway together with friends. The name of this tour is the White Pass and Yukon Route. White Pass and Yukon Route is a tour by train from Skagway City to the border of Canada with a travel time of 1.5 hours or 3 hours round trip. But this is not an arbitrary tour, I passed a remarkable place with a view that you might not be able to imagine.Called the White Pass because this tour passes mountains and snow-covered cliffs. At that time I entered the wilderness of Alaska with a variety of flora and fauna in it, saw snowy mountains when the train sprawled on the edge of the cliff, cold air and snowfall that was the first time I felt. Wow, this is really amazing @gibran *** *** ![IMG_20181124_160303.jpg](https://serey.io/imageupload_data/f0358e48067108fdce53a79895952656d0c8c3dd) ![IMG_20181124_160530.jpg](https://serey.io/imageupload_data/458bb5498bffe2908e737a6689cf6283a263a2d6) ![IMG_20181124_160625.jpg](https://serey.io/imageupload_data/3c3c68094c14707d5cd64db7f89e47888c00d835) *** ***
My trip from Skagway to Whitehorse, the Territory Yukon traveled 110 miles to the top of the mountain which was over 2,800 feet high. Throughout the trip everything was beautiful and nothing was boring. Snow on both sides of the train and river full of salmon. Everything is truly amazing! The Yukon Route traveled by train not only presents an extraordinary journey but also presents a history of how the city of Skagway developed and so much courage and sacrifice that must be passed @gibran

The city of Skagway itself is located in the middle of the mountain, like being in the middle of a mountain gap and you can imagine how fast the wind blows. This place is classified as dangerous for cruise ships because the fast wind can push the ship which causes the ship to run aground, I almost flew when I returned to the ship. To be honest, Skagway City is very small, maybe only one RW in Jakarta. But this city amazed me on every trip to Alaska. The city is so calm, peaceful and cold. I almost stopped by this place and never got bored to do natural activities such as hiking and even with our friends often climbing rocks. There is also a soccer field here, so my activity in exercising is playing football other than jogging @gibran

Skagway, with a free - tourist population under 1,000, which stops for cruise ships. Walking downtown Skagway is like stepping into an old western film set. Main Street, Broadway Avenue, is like stepping back in time.We mainly came to Geocache throughout our trip to the White Horse, so after walking around the city and seeing the sites, we walked far from the city center to hide. Previously, we took a city tour by bus that stopped at the Gold Rush cemetery, we did a 10 minute walk to the waterfall, and returned.Broadway Avenue is filled with beautiful and historic buildings of Skagway that refer to the past. The view from a small bar with wax figures, a historic theater show piece, a former brothel converted into a hotel / restaurant, an old locomotive, and a large early 20th century without a snow plow machine. They even built an old town hall Skagway is a small town, which gives us a glimpse of the past goldrush. I find this interesting for history @gibran

Skagway, 1000 residents (no tourists) is a stop point for adventure cruises and spirits. The hotel can also be reached by the white Yukon train pass route for an exceptional tourist experience. Walking downtown Skagway (Tlingit phrase for 'excuse me') is like stepping into old western films. Main Street, Broadway Avenue, it feels exactly like it must feel, which is unique, historic, reminiscent of the Klondike Gold Rush, which brings a lot of hopes to win, far from everywhere in the world. Because of that June we were lucky enough to catch a very rare sunny morning, surrounded by snowy mountain peaks that glowed around, which we walked downtown along the way on the train, at the Gold Rush Cemetery, the falls, and back. Broadway Avenue is filled with beautiful and historic buildings of Skagway that refer to the past. From a small XIX century bar re-enactment of the atmosphere with wax figures, historic cutout theater performances, former brothels that were converted into hotels / restaurants, for old locomotives, and early XX century large snow plow machines - They even made the old town hall building Skagway is one place that you will never forget about visitors @gibra
