Don't Touch Her (No la toques.)

She wanted protection and that was what you promised her

She could have been with another but she chose you

You felt you were doing her a favour but look into the mirror

She wasn't in this for whatever material she wanted to gain

Someone offered more and she picked you amidst the pain

Yes, her character you smeared, messing with her brain

Every morning you don't leave her with bruises alone but with stain

Only if her tears and pain can be washed away with the rain

Beating her up isn't a show of strength, young man

It's a show of weakness because you know your words are not enough

So you resulted into putting her down with your fist

It shouldn't be a battle for supremacy but a show of love and affection

You lost the plot the moment you agreed to hit her

Only if she could have confided in someone she could have left

Only if she had the strength to leave without looking back

She thought she was staying for the right reasons only to be buried under

The truth of the matter was swept under the rug as the young man took on another

Whatever happened to love without asunder?

It wasn't about love to him but the tussle for power

He brings flowers to her grave every year so they would assume he's grieving

We live in a world of showmanship where everyone acts as though they are living

Buried 6 feet under, her sun had gone to sleep while he walks the face of the earth

She has become a distant memory in everyone's heart

Don't touch her because domestic violence isn't a show of strength but cowardice

Cheers.
