Self-esteem is the judgement, opinion, evaluation we make about ourselves. In other words, our emotional evaluation of ourselves and our view of ourselves, our feelings towards ourselves, is self-esteem or self-esteem. According to Smith and McCall (2007), self-esteem is what we think about ourselves.
How self-esteem is formed: Self-esteem is formed in the light of life experiences. If past experiences are positive, you will develop high self-esteem. And if negative, then low self-esteem will develop. All interpersonal relationships, past and present, also play an important role in building self-esteem. If you can manage each relationship properly, fulfill the responsibilities properly, then self-esteem will increase. All the people you meet in life have either boosted your self-esteem; Or reduced. But self-esteem can change over time.
