Bangladesh river and human life

From ancient times the people have been living in the plains along the river. Because it is guaranteed to get water for daily use of people from rivers. Besides, it is possible to give trade from any river for agriculture. In addition to agriculture for subsistence, fishing is closely involved. Rivers serve as the main source of human food rewards.

 

 The role of women was crucial in the development of all the civilizations of the world. Later, the people of the river are using it to improve their livelihood. Due to the water people have settled near the river to find a source of livelihood. As a result, the relationship of resistance with human beings has become inseparable. Nowadays this relationship has become more multidimensional and intensive.

 Villages and cities have developed as permanent settlements through the development of food production, fishing, fishing, transportation, trade, etc., centered on the river. Rivers have become human resources. Bangladesh has the highest population growth on the banks of the river. As a result, it is seen that most of the cities have developed on the banks of different rivers such as Narayanganj on the banks of Karnafuli on the banks of Buriganga, Chittagong on the banks of Shitalakshya etc.

প্রাচীন যুগ থেকে মানুষ নদ নদীর তীরবর্তী সমতল ভূমিতে বসবাস শুরু করেছে। কেননা নদ নদী থেকে মানুষের প্রাত্যহিক ব্যবহার্য পানি পাওয়া নিশ্চিত থাকে। এছাড়া কৃষিকাজের জন্য বাণিজ্য কোন নদী থেকে দেওয়া সম্ভব হয়। জীবনধারণের জন্য কৃষির পাশাপাশি মাছ শিকার ঘনিষ্ঠভাবে জড়িত। নদ-নদী মানুষের খাদ্য পুরস্কার প্রধান উৎস হিসেবে ভূমিকা পালন করে।

 

পৃথিবীর সকল সভ্যতার জনবসতি গড়ে ওঠার পেছনে নারীদের ভূমিকা অতীব গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ছিল। পরবর্তীকালে জীবন-জীবিকার উন্নতি ও নদনদীর মানুষ ব্যবহার করছে। পানির কারণে মানুষ নদীর কাছাকাছি বসতিস্থাপন জীবিকা নির্বাহের উৎস সন্ধান করেছে। ফলে মানুষের সঙ্গে রোধের সম্পর্ক অবিচ্ছেদ্য হয়ে উঠেছে। বর্তমানকালে এই সম্পর্ক আরও বহুমাত্রিক এবং নিবিড় হয়েছে।

নদীকে কেন্দ্র করে খাদ্য উৎপাদন মাছ শিকার পণ্য পরিবহন ব্যবসা বাণিজ্যের ইত্যাদি গড়ে তোলার মাধ্যমে স্থায়ী বসতি হিসেবে গ্রাম এবং শহর গড়ে উঠেছে। নদী সমূহ জনসম্পদে পরিণত হয়েছে। বাংলাদেশের জনসংখ্যা বিস্তার সর্বাধিক ঘটেছে নদীর তীরে। ফলে দেখা যায় অধিকাংশ শহর গড়ে উঠেছে বিভিন্ন নদীর তীরে যেমন বুড়িগঙ্গার তীরে কর্ণফুলীর তীরে চট্টগ্রাম শীতলক্ষ্যার তীরে নারায়নগনজ ইত্যাদি।
