On Monday (8/23/2021) at B itcoin touch US $ 50,000 again for the first time since mid-May. But not being able to last long, the cryptocurrency with the largest market capitalization finally corrected again and recorded a negative performance in the last 7 weeks.

Launching data from Coin Market Cap, at 15:07 WIB, Bitcoin was trading at around US$ 48,579.21/coin, in the last 7 days, it weakened slightly by 1.35%. Of the 10 crypto assets with the largest market capitalization today, Solana is the best this week after rocketing 25.33% in the last 7 days.

Solana is currently trading at around US$ 94.54/coin with a market capitalization of US$ 27.4 billion. Solana even set an all-time high of US$ 97.84/coin and is currently the 8th largest crypto asset by market cap.

Apart from Solana, Cardano also posted a positive performance this week, with gains of more than 8%, followed by Binance Coin of more than 7%. Dogecoin was the worst loser by more than 11% in the last 7 days, followed by Ripple (XRP) minus 8%.

Meanwhile, although Bitcoin has weakened this week, the price of Bitcoin is even predicted to skyrocket to touch US$ 100,000/coin or around Rp. 1.4 billion per coin in the next 6 months.

This prediction was made by Florian Grummes, managing director at Midas Touch Consulting. However, Grummes said before hitting US$100,000/coin, Bitcoin is expected to reverse down first. He advised investors to wait for Bitcoin in the range of US$ 34,000 to US$ 38,000/coin before buying.

"What we've had in the last five weeks is a good, sharp rebound after the sell-off that is the hallmark of cryptocurrencies," Grummes said, as reported by Kitco, Thursday (26/8/2021).

"If there is another selloff, Bitcoin is at risk to US$ 25,000/coin. It is still possible, after that Bitcoin will return to the range of US$ 35,000/coin and back to US$ 60,000/coin then buy will return again. I think Bitcoin will touch $100,000/coin in the next six months," he added.
