Yesterday I came back from the 26th Dhaka International Trade Fair. Today I will share with you some information and pictures of the trade fair.
A total of 25 Dhaka International Trade Fairs were organized from 1995 to 2020 at Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Trade Fair Grounds. This fair was held for a long month.
The city of Dhaka is already full of traffic jams. It would have been very difficult to travel in Dhaka city due to traffic jam. Due to which the 26th International Trade Fair was organized in 2022 at the "Bangladesh-China Friendship Exhibition" Center located in the eastern part of the capital.
The permanent infrastructure for the trade fair was set up on a 32-acre site in Sector 4, Purbachal suburb with the joint funding of the Government of Bangladesh and China. The total cost to build this exhibition center is 773 crore rupees. Of this, China provided a grant of Tk 521 crore, the Government of Bangladesh provided a grant of Tk 231 crore and EPB provided Tk 21 crore from its own funds.
The venue for the trade fair in Purbachal has 33,000 square meters of exhibition space. And this floor space is 24 thousand 370 square meters. Exhibition space is 15 thousand 417 square meters. There are a total of 600 booths in the exhibition hall, the area of each booth is 9.8 square meters. Outside the exhibition center, there is a 6-acre site where temporary stalls have been set up.
There is also a 473-seat multi-functional hall, a 50-seat conference hall, 6 meeting rooms, 500-seat cafeteria, children's play space, prayer space, two office rooms, medical room, 139 toilets. Also many more facilities have been arranged in the fair.
All kinds of domestic products are being displayed in this fair. This year's trade fair has a total of 11 foreign stalls including South Korea, Iran, Turkey, India, Thailand, Turkey.
A total of 23 pavilions, 26 mini pavilions, 162 stalls and 15 food stalls of different categories have been allotted to different local and foreign organizations in this year's fair. Bangabandhu Pavilion has been constructed as a special attraction of the fair.
Car parking has been arranged inside and outside the fair.।500 cars can be parked inside the fair, just behind the fair one thousand cars have been arranged for parking.
The entrance fee for the trade fair has been fixed at Rs 40 for adults and Rs 20 for children. 50% discount has been provided for payment in bKash.
The fair is open from 10 am to 10 pm on holidays, and from 10 am to 9 pm on other days.
