Each of us starts our educational life from the primary stage, most of us start our educational life from government primary schools, although there are many kindergartens now, from where the children of the current society start their education, but in our time there were no such kindergartens, each of us had to start our educational life from government primary schools.

Almost every village in our Bangladesh has a government primary school, at one time there were many students in this regard, but currently the number of students in this government educational institution is decreasing day by day, most parents are teaching their children in various cadet and kindergarten schools or madrasas, and their educational life is starting from there and the number of students in beggar primary schools is decreasing.

Today I visited the government primary school located in our village, the name of this school in our village is No. 31 Purba Khukshia Government Primary School, this school located in Kazipur Upazila of Sirajganj district was established in 1970, this government primary school in our village is one of the old schools in our area.

The old place of our village and this school in the village has disappeared into the river, now this school has been established in a new place, in 2000 this school was shifted to its current place, and the current school building was inaugurated on March 26, 2018, this building of the university was inaugurated by the then Honorable Minister of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Alhaj Md. Nasim, and his son Engineer Tanvir Shakil Joy was present with him. This building was implemented by the Local Sarkar Engineering Department.

This school in our village is a government primary school, so the small children of the area are taught in school, the school teaches students from nursery class to fifth grade, primary school students are taught Bengali, mathematics, English, science, non-social science through various types of books.

Along with education, special attention is also paid to the moral education and character formation of students, currently some schools are making information and technology education the mainstay of students at the primary level, although this system has not yet started in our school, students are kept in various sports and cultural activities along with education.

Along with education, health and nutrition services are provided to students, currently milk is distributed among the students of primary schools under specific programs, and they are provided with hygiene and cleanliness issues and education, along with these activities, various other services are provided according to the government's education policies.

• How Is Their Service Perceived By The General Public? What Does Your Own Observation Say?

The general public perceives primary school services in different ways, since there are primary schools almost everywhere in villages and cities, most people find it easy and consider it the first step of children's education, government primary schools provide free books and there is no fee, and students are given stipend money, due to which people accept it as affordable education and many can financially support their children's education.

Many people think that children will learn something good socially in addition to gaining education if they go to school, because after going to school, children are in a routine and they are away from bad paths, although some people have some doubts about the teaching of primary schools, that the teaching of government primary schools is not of standard, many times there are complaints about the presence of teachers and the lack of various school materials, although there may be some other complaints in a few schools, but most of these schools are well run.

There are various aspects in my observations, some of which are that compared to cities, there is a shortage of teachers in rural schools and various problems arise, which need to be solved by applying the right methods, and of course, children's attention to school needs to be increased. Currently, most children are focused on playing various media, mobile phones, and games. Therefore, new methods of education need to be created to divert their attention from that aspect and focus on school.

If we look at the essence, we see that primary schools play an important role in developing people in society, for this, its quality and effectiveness need to be improved a lot, and the government needs to provide opportunities for that improvement. Apart from this, there are some other observations that I have not mentioned here.

• What Changes Do You Think Are Needed For This Institution To Improve In The Future?

I think there is a lot of room for change for the development of this primary school in the future, one of which is that the skills and sense of responsibility of school teachers need to be increased, teachers need to be trained regularly, effective action needs to be taken against absenteeism and failure to perform duties properly, new approaches are needed in the education system of students, instead of just memorizing books, a joyful and child-centered education system is very important.

To attract the attention of school students to their studies, it is necessary to make parents aware, and to make parents aware, regular meetings should be held with parents, and they should be given a complete idea about their children, and they should be focused on their children's studies at home.

There are some other changes that, if made, will make primary schools a good educational institution and will develop well-educated and conscious people from there, and our future generation will manage our country well.
