The UN model debate is a very popular debate model. The UN model debate is modeled on the UN General Assembly. In it, the member states of the General Assembly make statements on a proposal. They speak in the interest of their state's opinion, position, alliance or regionalism Presents. It is not the opinion of the individual but the statement of the representative in terms of state policy and diplomatic position.

There is a president in this debate. He chaired the debate as president of the UN General Assembly. Representatives of the six to eight member states usually address the debate on the model, according to the UN General Assembly. Other member states are present. The members represent their respective countries.

He called on the representatives of various member states to discuss the proposal. For example, Bangladesh, India, the United States, China, Japan, France, Russia, etc. can take part in the debate on the need to control the production and use of luxury goods in the face of global warming. In this debate, similar to the Barracks debate, a member state can in principle support the views and positions of other member states.

The difference between the other debating models is that in other debates, a debater has to debate only the policy and alliance position of the state. The UN model debate is usually held with the participation of recognized debaters. Because it is more difficult to do well in this debate than other debate models. The debater has to know about the country he represents. So it may take a long time to prepare for this debate. In the UN Model Debate, the President may deliver his speech or evaluate it or he may also speak in the presence of the Secretary-General
