Google's new technology to identify fraudulent apps on smartphones

Google is paying special attention to customer protection.  Now by scanning the app, Google will tell if it is a fraud or not. When this feature is updated, apps installed on Android phones can be scanned for malware.

Google has announced this at the annual developer conference. Google Play Protect will scan 200 billion Android apps every day, helping to protect more than three billion users from malware, the company said.

This feature will be so effective that Google will detect live threats through its on-device AI capabilities, even if an app hides fraud and abuse intentions. Google explains that Google Play uses Protect's on-device AI feature and will find additional behavioral signals related to interactions with other apps and services. If the system finds anything suspicious, the feature will send the app to Google for additional review and warn users or disable the app if it is convinced of the app's misbehavior. This allows us to protect users without collecting data, the company said. Google claims that the Play Integrity API is one of these tools. This allows developers to understand whether apps have been modified, or whether they are running on a genuine Android device, so they can detect fraudulent or risky content early and take steps to prevent attacks, abuse.

It is reported that Google Pixel, Honor, Lenovo, Nothing, OnePlus, Oppo and other manufacturers will also setup this feature in their smartphones later this year.
