Shillong is the most beautiful tourist place in North-East. The area of the town is 64.36 km sq.the official language of Shillong Khasi. Basically, Shillong is a hill area. In ancient time Shillong was the capital of Assam, but now Shillong is the capital of Meghalaya. Pine trees add more beautiful the Shillong city. There are some places in Shillong which definitely more amazing. So visiting Shillong will be total fun for vacation. From 10 km away of Shillong city a place named Shillong Peak, we see the hole town of Shillong from this place. The height of the Peak is 6,449 Ft.this is the highest Peak of Shillong. This place surrounded by beautiful gardens. The Elephant Falls is a more beautiful fascinating place. This place is called Elephant Falls because there is an Elephant like a stone at its food. Shillong Golf Course one of the largest natural golf courses in India. It's established in 1898 by a group of Britsh civil services officers. The climates of is good. The average temperature is 23°C In summers the weather are cool and very rainy.
