Gadang traditional house is one of the names for the Minangkabau traditional house which comes from the land of the desert which is a traditional house and is widely found in West Sumatra Province, Indonesia. The shape is an outer beauty so that it is made of durable wood.

This house is also called by another name by a slightly different community living with the name "Rumah Bagonjong" or there are also those who call it "Rumah Baanjuang".

The entire interior of the Gadang House is a loose room or a large room that has no tunnels except for the bedroom.

The interior is divided into lanjar and spaces marked by poles. The pillars lined up from front to back and from left to right. The number of lanjar depends on the size of the gadang house, it can be two or three and four. The space consists of an odd number between three and eleven. That's how it is.
