In my mother's lap
I was but a suckling
With hungered stomach and fast sucking mouth
I walk paths with bare body and zero-knowledge
I walk and I fall - I get scars
And yet I go on because mama says the winner takes it all
How can I afford to lose
When the dream in my head is as beautiful as paradise?
How can I not long for success
When I have this life of bliss pictured in my head?
All these falls and trials
I know they are just temptations and requirements
That I need for this journey ahead
So I will surge on -
Scale these hurdles and come out victoriously
So help me God. Amen.
Thank you for your time.
My pen doesn't bleed, it speaks, with speed and ease.
Still me,
My tongue is like the pen of a ready writer.
