Colds and Flu
It seems strange to talk about colds and flu in tropical climates but surely some you have had a few days off because of it. The first reaction usually is the sledgehammer method to suppress all the symptoms which stop you from fulfilliing your daily obligations. You might even be lucky that all those medications keep you on the road. But your body has the annoying habit to remind you that there was a reason why you were sick. Maybe you ignored the amount of stress you're under, maybe your diet was for too long too onesided or detrimental, maybe you burned the candle at both ends.
There are several methods to combat that: meditation (although it's a catch22 situation: you have to be able to relax which you can do only of you can turn off which you can do only if you relax), yoga, or if you're more activity inclined, the gym; nutrient wise you can change or supplement your intake; sometimes it's only a question of changing a combination of foods you take or when you take them.
I'm happy to answer any questions you might have regarding possible strategies to lead a healthier life. And don't worry, I'm not one to forbid this or that, but I do believe in balance.
