ПРЕ-РУП // PRE-RUP
"Inverted body" - so in the language of the Khmer sounds the name of the temple Of pre RUP. With the study of the art of Cambodia, you can even learn a few words in Khmer language;) the Temple was built during the reign of Rajendravarman (944-968.). The purpose of the RUP Is to serve as a tomb with the sarcophagus of the ruler. It was at this time that the idea of dividing the temple into a sanctuary and a pedestal-pyramid was born. In a staggered order are the towers, which are built on three floors. The main tower is raised on a pedestal and surrounded by stairs, which are decorated with beautiful stucco lions. On the territory of the temple complex in the North-Eastern part is a small-sized gazebo. There used to be a stele here. In honor of the construction of the temple Of pre RUP on the stele was engraved in Sanskrit one of the largest inscriptions. On it was written 298 verses!!!

"Перевёрнутое тело" - так на языке кхмеров звучит название храма Пре Руп. С изучением искусства Камбоджи можно даже выучить несколько слов кхмерского языка;) Храм построен при правлении Раджендравармане (944-968 гг.). Предназначение Пре Руп - служить усыпальницей с саркофагом правителя. Именно в это время рождается идея разделения храма на святилище и постамент-пирамиду. В шахматном порядке расположены башни, которые построены на трёх этажах. Главная башня поднята на пьедестал и окружена лестницами, которые украшены красивыми лепными львами. На территории храмового комплекса в северо-восточной части находится небольшая по размеру беседка. Здесь когда-то помещалась стела. В честь построения храма Пре Руп на стеле была выгравирована на санскрите одна из самых больших надписей. На ней было написано 298 стихов!!!

Two large steps, cut from both sides by ledges, are connected by a small colonnade. The gallery is still quite imperfect in the temple. The colonnade gives a hint of its development.

Пирамидный принцип мы ярко видим и в храме Та Кео с пятью башнями. Та Кео переводится как "каменная масса" Начало строения было ещё при Джайявармане V (968-1001). Это единственный храм Древней Камбоджи, который остался не украшенным скульптурами. Храм стоит на пересечении дорог в низине. Та Кео построен полностью из песчаника. Это первый храм-гора, но так до конца не был достроен. Силуэт храма на фоне неба смотрится очень величественно. Осевые переходы указывают нам на начало лестничных маршей. Две большие ступени, срезанные с двух сторон уступами, соединяются небольшой колоннадой. Галерея ещё совсем несовершенна в храме. Намёк на её развитие даёт именно колоннада.

PHIMEANAKAS // ПХИМЕАНАКАС
A small temple Phimeanakas means "air" and is striking in its elegance. Here you can see the division into floors and merge them with the help of the gallery. The historical monument is located inside the Palace complex and belongs to the Royal chapel. The towers of the temple have not survived. But even without them the temple soars with its beauty in the air. It seems that he goes into the sky. According to legend, this is where the king met with the naked, the patroness of the country and the beautiful Princess-snake.

Небольшой храм Пхимеанакасе в переводе означает "воздушный" и поражает своей изысканностью. Здесь проявляется уже деление на этажи и слияние их с помощью галереи. Исторический памятник находится внутри дворцового комплекса и относится к королевской часовне. Башни храма не сохранились. Но даже без них храм парит своей красотой в воздухе. Создаётся впечатление, что он уходит в небо. По легенде, именно здесь король встречался с нагой, покровительницей страны и прекрасной принцессой-змеёй.
