How To Fight A Guy Who Leans Back - Self Defense

In a street fight, people can attack you in different ways. Maybe something that looks horrible and some guys can attack you like that. When you fight for self-defense, it is not that you want to show you are a good fighter or you have some skills, proving that you are better.

When there is a fight, there is always someone who gets hurt. Try to avoid the fight if you can. If someone says he is better than you in a fight, let him better than you and walk away. It is not fun to fight and hurt someone. If your life is in danger, someone is going to hurt you and there is no way to get out of there, you have the right to defend yourself, your loved ones and family.

How about defending against lean back fighter?

Dr Mark Phillips explained it very well. I like and respect him. Let's watch this video.

The problem is, when you fight with a guy who leans back and punches, his punch might hit you, but when you punch, that punch does not reach him because he leans back. Due to leaning back, there is a distance and that acts like a protection when you throw a punch.

So how do you fight to defend yourself?

Okay, you cannot reach him punching. Who said you have to punch him? You can kick him. He leans back, but his legs are there. You can kick him to his knee. You can kick his knee in different ways. If you are used to doing side kick, that's good. Now do the side kick to his leg. Or you can hit his shin with sweep.

Now let him lean as much as he wishes. That is not going to protect him anymore. Leg is the longest weapon. If you know how to kick, you can find it very useful in self-defense.

You have to have an open mind to adapt to the situation. If you learn to adapt, you will always be unbeatable. It is not only applicable in martial arts, you can apply this to different things in life. Things always change. So you need to adapt to that.
