Watch Out When You Use Scatter
Blockchain gives you the freedom to express yourself without facing any restrictions. Whatever you do on the blockchain, that is recorded permanently. This is like a magical thing and you have great power. With great power comes great responsibility. First of all, it is your responsibility to secure your asset or account.

If you are on EOS blockchain, you know about Scatter. Scatter is a secure way to interact with DApp that built on top of EOS blockchain. You are not giving your key to any DApp. That's awesome!
When you sign in on any DApp/platform, you see a pop up Scatter window to connect your EOS account. In order to make any transaction, you have to allow your Scatter to do that. You can see it clearly on Scatter window what is going to happen.
If you do not want to make the transaction, you can just deny that. Hackers always try to find a sneaky way to get access to your EOS account. While making the transaction if you see **updateauth**, be careful. If you are not changing your key, it might be hackers who try to get access to your account.
Don't click the **Allow** button. If you do, hackers will get control of your account. Click the **Deny** button to reject the transaction.
You can watch this video to get a clear idea about it.
