Cambodia waives interim fines for expired tourism licenses, but calls on business owners to renew their licenses.

The Ministry of Tourism on July 18, 2025, issued a notice on the exemption of interim monetary fines for the expiration of all types of tourism licenses (except tour guide licenses).

The Ministry of Tourism stated that in order to be a mechanism to encourage all tourism businesses during the green season and to contribute to reducing the compliance burden on tourism businesses, and in line with the principles of unity of Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia, the Royal Government has decided to waive interim fines for the expiration of all types of tourism licenses (except tour guide licenses), effective from the date of this announcement until September 30, 2025.

All types of tourism businesses with expired tourism licenses must urgently apply for a tourism license renewal at the Ministry of Tourism or the provincial/municipal tourism departments.
