Bangladesh's war of independence is an important event in world history. Our foreign friends were the ones who played a vital role in gaining independence during the nine-month war. Due to the sincere support and assistance of foreign friends, Bangladesh was able to gain independence in such a short period of time.Bangladesh is forever indebted to these foreigners. The contribution of these great individuals and organizations during the war of liberation inspired the Bengali nation to fight hard.
American pop music star George Harrison agreed to give a concert at the request of Pandit Ravi Shankar, a famous Indian musician of Bangladeshi descent. Harrison's band Party Brittlers organized a concert called "Concert for Bangladesh" in 1981 in Machine Square, New York. Harrison's will shows a still image of the brutal massacre of Pakistanis in Bangladesh. As a result, hatred was created against the Pakistani aggression in Bangladesh. As a result of Harrison's sincere efforts, a grant of about two and a half million dollars was raised from the concert. All of which is provided for the victims of oppression in Bangladesh.
The contribution of foreigners in the war of independence of Bangladesh is unforgettable. The way in which foreigners have sided with Bangladeshis is rarely seen in the case of independence of any other country in the world. Through the direct and indirect support and cooperation of foreigners, the Bengalis gained immense mental strength which played a major role in the victory of Bangladesh in the war of independence.
