Tsunami

Tsunami is the name of a new dimension of natural disaster. This silent, horrible tsunami. When the storm comes, the country, the civilization, the civic life is ruined in an instant. Due to the irresistible and ruthless destruction, tsunami is now a widely discussed issue all over the world. This is the worst natural disaster in 40 years, hitting South and Southeast Asia on December 26, 2004 at 8 am. As a result, 12 coastal countries in Asia and Africa were affected. Large areas along the east coast of Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka and India were reduced to rubble. Although the tsunami is a very recent issue to us, its history is not new. Ancient geological histories state that tsunamis spread many centuries ago.

In most cases, tsunamis are caused by earthquakes. Therefore, detailed knowledge about earthquakes can save thousands of lives with the advance message of tsunami. Earthquake is an in-ground earthquake. According to geologists, about one million earthquakes occur on Earth every year. And most of it is organized under the sea. Large-scale earthquakes organized under the sea bring about major changes in the earth's crust. Large tidal waves are formed on the coast.  The quake caused cracks in the tectonic plate or the vast surface of the ocean. In addition, unexpected eruptions of dormant volcanoes on the seabed or asteroids or large meteorites crashing into the deep sea can cause tsunamis. As a result, one floor of the earth's surface rises and the other rises. This is one of the causes of tsunami. This sudden rise in tectonic plates severely affected the sea level and caused a tsunami.

Recently, a new terror called tsunami has hit the whole world. This omnipresent tsunami is well known to the world for its devastating form. This natural disaster may not be eradicated, but it is possible to reduce its devastation through appropriate measures. It must be taken care of without destroying the natural environment. Mangrove forests need to be protected and tree walls need to be built in coastal areas.
