Insistently refusing you

Do not do it

Don't touch it

Listen to it not

Nope

Do not smell it

Nor see it.

 

But you do not listen

You open your ears wide

Your eyes ready to see

And you are tempted to touch

And you are eager to smell

And you are hooked and ensnared

A prisoner you become

Obsessed

Nope

Do not do it.

 

Finally you fall prey

Deep into temptations stuck

You do what you should not

And regrets do creep in

"I wish I Knew" overcrowds you

But there was the 'nope' 

There was that inner voice

Warning you
