What's your fear?

S

Hey everyone, yes I'm back again with another segment. Sometimes I don't get to post because of the busy schedule but I try. Well, I only get time to do one post a day, sometimes even 1.5days. Days are kinda busy though. And during the weekend I try to watch a movie or two and talk to my friends as I don't get to do that rest of the week. So enough about it. Humm I have something to share but even more so I want to know your point of view. So, feel free to comment and if you want to write about it, I'll be very eager to know your story.

What are you afraid of?

There's nothing new to say about fear. We're all afraid of one thing or another. Either we're afraid of living things or maybe our fears are related to other tangible or intangible stuff. Sometimes we fear situations that fall under intangible fear. Like for example, someone is afraid of accidental or hijacking situations. Believe me, if I get into those situations, I'll be terrified as hell. And it got me thinking about what exactly I'm afraid of. I couldn't figure out what exactly I was scared of.

Every time I have faced something that could scare me, I could always get over it in a few seconds. I once remember running away from a fight between political parties when I was a teenager, but I don't remember being afraid or nervous in that situation. But there's something that I know I'm scared of and that is Public Speaking or Stage Fright. I know I look very confident, right? I actually am. Even during a presentation, I can keep a very confident temperament, but deep down my heart will be beating like a rock'n'roll session. I know it makes sense a lot. Even if I'm called out to talk in between a few people and/or introduce myself, I get very nervous. But you know what, my fear of speaking out in public is hardly ever shown.

I talk fast, in general. I talk fast when I'm arguing about something, I talk fast when I'm super excited, I talk fast when I'm afraid and nervous. I guess my emotions play a big role in the way I verbally communicate and that's why maybe nobody can actually figure out that if I'm nervous or excited. I have done so many project presentations during college that I think I have sort of figured out how to cover up my nervousness or calm myself down but still, sometimes I feel like I am nervous. But you know what I do in those situations? I step forward, I speak out even if my heart is beating like a drum. And as I keep talking, I calm down slowly and get back to my normal self. Yes, my peppy self.

Yesterday I was talking about my struggles, not all of them, but I'm hardly nervous when I'm facing adversity. I guess losing my nerve is not an option there. I think the ones who read my posts are accustomed to the fact that I'm very cheery and I try to make people laugh. I laugh harder when I see someone else laugh. So, even if I'm afraid you know I'll always get over it and move forward. Isn't that what really matters? Guys? Should I get another meme today?
