Of course, every country in the world always has a problem that befell its country, one of which is a disaster, whether a disaster comes from outside or from within its own country, often due to natural influences or caused by human hands themselves. Sometimes disasters come from their own nature which are caused by increasingly old natural influences. As well as long drought that afflicts. Drought is a condition of lack of water supply in an area for a long period of time (several months to years). Usually this event occurs when an area continues to experience below-average rainfall. A long dry season will cause drought because the ground water reserves will be depleted due to evaporation, transpiration, or other uses by human humans themselves or because of the influence of plant cultivation such as planting plants in the form of Oil Palm which very much eats water in the soil.
A long dry season can cause drought. While drought can be a natural disaster if it starts to cause a region to lose its source of water income because of the disruption of agriculture and the ecosystem it causes. The economic and ecological impact of drought is a process so that the limits of drought in each field can vary. However, short but intensive drought can also cause significant damage. The results will greatly affect the lives of creatures in this world. It is no exception whether humans and animals will experience drought.
If this happens, it will cause impacts that can cause drought, resulting in demographics or mass migration, as happened in the barren regions of Africa and the Sahel. This has happened decades ago.
The long dry season or drought has also been felt by the State of Indonesia in 2015. But it's not as bad as previously mentioned. In 2015 the implications for drought in a number of regions in Indonesia. In fact, the Bogor region, West Java, which is famous for its "rainy city", is not free from drought. Then at that time. The government takes a stand so that the dry season can be overcome. Finally, prayer and joint efforts at the time were missed.

Well ... In this post I will present to you a number of things in anticipation if a long dry season comes in your country, so that the drought can be overcome, the following will provide steps in anticipating that.
**1. Make water reservoirs when it rains**
In this case you must prepare or make a water reservoir (embung) which functions as a reservoir of water when it rains. Embung can become a water provider during the dry season. Of course, the available water capacity depends on the area of Embung itself. That is, the greater the capacity of the Embung, the more available the supply of water so that the land flowing with water is also quite extensive. As mentioned before there is no harm as the saying goes "Preventing is better than cure".
**2. Repair irrigation channels**
This happens very often and becomes a problem that irrigation canals are often damaged but sometimes we ignore them. repairing channels and irrigation facilities. Because now there are so many irrigation channels and damaged facilities. According to a report from the research team, they said that irrigation networks in certain areas were damaged at 52 percent. But happy that the country always cares about this situation.

**3. Greening the forest**
The cause of new land clearing which causes forest sludge can cause no one to collect rainwater. Greening and reducing land conversion in forest areas. Plants that are planted in vacant and can maintain and bind grains of land when it rains

Plants that are dense can also increase the ability of the soil to absorb rainwater. This will reduce surface flow and evaporation so that ground water will be available for longer. AConversely, land conversion in forest areas can reduce the ability of land to absorb rainwater. As a result, during the rainy season, more water is flowed through the surface and during the dry season the water dries quickly. If you do some of these steps, the recurring drought can be overcome. At a minimum, the community will not run out of water during the long dry season, for example in our area. Basically there are still many steps that must be taken by humans to anticipate these events. However, the steps that I have mentioned are based on the experience that we have done. Thank you very much.
