Litchi is produced in large quantities in greater Rajshahi, Dinajpur, Kushtia, Jessore, Mymensingh and Chittagong districts of Bangladesh. Currently, about 5000 hectares of land is cultivated in litchi and total production is around 13 thousand tons but it only meets 1/4 of our demand. Vitamin B, C, Mineral salt and cassium are available in litchi lots. Bombay is the country's old high yielding litch. Among other varieties, Rajshahi, Madrasi, Mangalbariya, Kadmi, Kalipuri, Muzaffarpuri, Bedana and China-3 are notable. It is better to increase the yield of the lined non-Mandal region and the humid climate. If there is a facility for drainage, then litchi trees can all be born in the soil. But the fertile sandy beach is ideal for litchi.
