Cyrano de Bergerac-a man ahead of time.
There are people who are somehow inexplicably ahead of their time. They think in categories not understandable to their contemporaries, and only after many years do we begin to understand their distant descendants.
Such a man was Cyrano de Bergerac (1619-1655 biennium), French writer and poet playwright. Included in history thanks to the play of Edmond Rostand "Cyrano de Bergerac", in which the playwright portrayed him as a kind of reveler and duelist, in principle, de Bergerac was such in real life.

Cyrano de Bergerac wrote several plays and satirical pamphlets. But of greatest interest is his fantasy novel in two volumes "a Different light or the state of the Empire of the moon" and "Sometimes the light or the state of the Empire of the Sun", in which the author tells the story of traveling to the moon and the Sun in first person.
In this novel, the author writes amazing things. About how he flew to the moon on the machine, which rose into the air due to the jet thrust rockets for fireworks, which were fastened in several stages and as the combustion, the burnt steps were separated from the machine. And what's so surprising you might say, a conventional multistage rocket? Yes, nothing unusual for a man from the XX-XXI century, but the author lived in the XVII century, when about any missiles, jet or even steam engines no one had heard of. But what to say, at the beginning of this century, the Inquisition burned at the stake a brilliant scientist Giordano Bruno.
And what are the descriptions of lunar books. One book was a pearl split in two with the mechanism inside and it didn't need to read. It was enough to start the mechanism and from the book came the voice narrating the content. And another such book is a literary hero wearing on the ears and walked along with her until she told him its contents. Well, what you do not have an audio player and headphones?
Who knows where these people have such knowledge about the future, whether they really were born at the wrong time, or they just have a very violent fantasy.
