Research reveals anti-bitcoin twenty-two in mainstream media
Recent research on the tone and frequency of cryptocurrency coverage in the mainstream media over the last five years shows that some news outlets seem more biased against Bitcoin against standard. These results also indicate that over time the overall feeling has become more negative.

## Declines of prices caused press frenzy
The blockchain-centric research company Clover surveyed articles related to 7,527 cryptocurrency from 48 media outlets from January 1, 2013 to July 31, 2018. It used an algorithm to assess the wide sense expressed in each article.
These researchers found that mainstream media did not really pay much attention to cryptographers unless they started climbing in value. But what these newspapers really liked to report about accidents in prices. During the sudden fall of market value, it expanded during the great bull run of 2017 coverage. And at the end of the year, this recession created”press frenzy" in the top, in which the number of articles increased.

After this, negatives were multiplied due to Bitcoin's market cap dip in the last days of 2017. These researchers noted that in the first month of 2018 the cryptocurrencies were falling 34 percent; the careful stories of missing property were common.
## Old vs. Young, left vs. right
On the contrary, these researchers found that business and financial news outlets which bend towards younger audiences, such as Forbes and Business Insider had coverage, which was consistent with overall average for positive emotions. Its long-established mainstream brand was particularly tough with their cryptocurrency coverage, including The Street Journal, The New York Times, The Economist and the Financial Times.

It was given example by Breitbart News, which was found to publish only an astonishing search for negative articles, because its former executive president Steve Bannon has gone to present himself as a crypto revolutionary. Compared to American publications from the political leanings of these researchers, it was found that those who are conservative were quite negative in their crypto coverage compared to the liberals.
The average sentiment of Reuters, United States Today and Gizmodo articles became quite negative with time, for example. And its total financial news outlets looked more positive than technology news sites. This report indicates that some of its publishers have become less hostile over time. However, the more common projection for coverage for coverage had become increasingly negative, the researchers noted.
